Who and What
Blacksmith Watches began as Blacksmithmods, working with Seiko watches and modifying them by changing dials, hands, bezels, crystals, and movements. What started as a practical hobby gradually became a deeper interest in watchmaking, design, and hands-on work.
The starting point was my first Seiko SKX009. From there, the work moved from simple modifications to fully custom builds for customers looking for something personal and functional. Along the way, I built a reliable network of suppliers, completed a wide range of builds, and connected with others who appreciate well-made mechanical watches.
Today, Blacksmith Watches is moving more toward original designs. The focus is shifting from Seiko-based mods to watches designed from the ground up, guided by my own preferences and use cases. These watches are built using carefully selected components and Seiko automatic movements, with the same practical approach that defined the early work.
Custom projects are still part of Blacksmith Watches. One-off builds, personalized mods, or smaller custom changes are always possible and discussed case by case.
Each watch is waterproof-tested, movement-regulated, and comes with a warranty. The shop includes ready-to-ship models, but I’m also happy to talk through ideas and projects.
In addition, there is a small selection of pre-owned watches and curated straps—items I use myself and feel comfortable offering to others.
